What We Offer

At Murrell Youth Development Foundation, we believe youth thrive when they are supported emotionally, intellectually, and socially.

We offer:

• Preventative mental wellness education through school-based programming
• Resilience-building workshops and assemblies
• Leadership and enrichment clubs for youth
• Community service and engagement initiatives
• Parent and educator support resources
• Scholarship-supported programming for underserved communities

Our programs are faith-neutral, trauma-informed, and developmentally appropriate for students ages 5–18.

  • Dream Academy is a community-based, year-long after-school program designed to provide youth with a safe, supervised environment during critical after-school hours while fostering emotional regulation, academic engagement, leadership development, identity formation, and a sense of community belonging.

Hosted within a church setting and supported by trained volunteers, Dream Academy serves general youth as well as at-risk, justice-impacted, and under-resourced youth, using an inclusive, non-stigmatizing approach that emphasizes dignity, accountability, and growth.

  • The Resilient Minds Project equips students with developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed tools to understand emotions, manage stress, build healthy coping strategies, and strengthen resilience. Through engaging school assemblies and parent-inclusive education, the program promotes mental wellness, emotional intelligence, and help-seeking behaviors in a safe, faith-neutral environment.
